Hi There, I’m Harriet!

I’m Harriet Bohanan, LPC, a parent, advocate, therapist, and co-founder of Third Space Therapy in Norman, OK. For more than two decades, I’ve devoted my work to helping people feel truly heard - not “fixed” - and to building therapy spaces rooted in safety, connection, and authenticity. Whether you’re navigating religious trauma, CPTSD, identity exploration, grief, or relationship challenges, my priority is creating a space that honors your story and supports genuine healing.

At the heart of my practice is trauma-informed care, with a special focus on LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, domestic violence support, and modalities like EMDR and IFS. I approach every session with warmth, respect, and curiosity, tailoring care to each individual so therapy feels like a collaborative journey rather than a set of techniques.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an LPC Supervisor after years as a therapist and faculty member at the University of Oklahoma. I am passionate about guiding new therapists and candidates as they explore private practice, expand their skills, and grow into the professionals they want to become. My goal is to make supervision a space for connection, education, and encouragement—transforming what too often feels overwhelming into an empowering, ethical, and supportive experience. Together, we can replace the “supervision horror stories” with preparation for your best years ahead.
